A San Antonio Police Department officer that was arrested last month for allegedly shoplifting is now being accused of using her badge to steal thousands of dollars in merchandise.

A search warrant obtained by KSAT reporters alleges that Officer Stephanie Solis and an unidentified man took a woman's wallet and $5,000 worth of perfume on Jan. 13.

A warrant from the Castle Hills Police Department claims that Solis and the woman met on OfferUp, a marketplace app, and agreed to meet in person in Castle Hills. KSAT reports that Solis agreed to sell Victoria's Secret perfume to the woman.

Instead, the warrant alleges that Solis showed up in her SAPD uniform, ordered the woman out of the car and said she was a detective investigating stolen property. According to the warrant, the unnamed man walked up to the car and took the woman's wallet as well as $5,000 in perfume.

Following the meeting, the woman followed Solis in her car to the officer's apartment complex on DeZavala Rd. KSAT reports that SAPD visited Solis' apartment last week and seized purses, Victoria's Secrets bags and perfume.

Castle Hills Police Chief Johnny Siemens told KSAT that his department will likely file official oppression and felony theft charges against Solis with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office. At this time, Siemens said the items seized from Solis' apartment are similar to what was taken from the woman's car, but can't confirm if it's the same since the wallet nor perfume haven't been found.

Five days after the Castile Hills incident, SAPD responded to a call about a suspected shoplifter at Ingram Park Mall. When they arrived at the scene, Solis, who was off-duty at the time, was being detained by mall officers. Those officers told SAPD that Solis was seen putting merchandise before walking out.

After the Ingram Park Mall arrest, Solis was placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation. District Attorney Nico LaHood's office is also reviewing the case. Chief William McManus told KSAT that Solis is still on administrative leave.
