Justin BroadbentEmily Haines’ latest creative pursuit has nothing to do with music. The Metric singer is teaming up with high end perfumery House Of Matriarch to unveil her own scent, Siren.
“I imagined myself creating my own signature scent someday with House of Matriarch,” says Haines. “But it wasn’t until I had completed [my solo album] Choir of the Mind that I finally worked up the nerve to reach out to [owner Christi] Meshell and just straight up ask."
She adds, "Christi generously guided me through the process, starting with dozens of options, teaching me the components of each scent profile and the possibilities that exist within them.”
Siren has a base of amber, Moroccan rose and East Indian sandalwood, combined with saffron, narcissus and Gandhi root top notes. Haines will autograph the sleeves that adorn the perfume bottles. Siren is available starting November 28 from Matriarch.biz and at select retailers for $96.
